• A logical sequence of activities has to be developed in order to prepare a meaningful schedule.

• Various external factors have an important impact on the schedule.

• Fast tracking is a construction method for starting a project without having 100% completed construction documents.

• Long lead items for the project must be tracked on a continuous basis so that they can arrive at the site when required.

• A two-week look-ahead schedule should be prepared so that all the construction participants can focus on these future activities and any critical milestone dates.
