Individual Exercise

Use the work breakdown structure from the chapter exercise in Chapter 5 to design a project budget for that project. Organize it hierarchically by task, etc. How would a top-down budgeting process proceed for this project? Compare it to a bottom-up process.

Then consider the tasks within the WBS itself. Are any of the tasks repetitive, with a high labor content?

Might the learning curve apply here? If mechanical tasks requiring tools or machinery follow an 80 percent learning rate whereas simply memory/learning tasks follow a 60 percent learning rate, what rate would you estimate for these tasks?
