In this chapter, we have described dependencies from several angles. We've looked at them as being internal or external, activity-limited or resource-limited, and weak or strongly related. We have examined the ways in which one activity might be linked to another, such as the FS, SS, FF, and SF links.

These dependencies become very important in the construction of a network from the product-oriented WBS discussed in Chapter 8. The techniques of scheduling, discussed in Chapter 15. rely heavily on the dependency relationships created when building a project plan.
