Preliminary design risk review PDRR

The PDRR is a project-level review of the design concept for deliverable configuration items. The purpose of a PDR is to

■ Evaluate the progress and technical adequacy of the design approach and the risk exposure

■ Evaluate the compatibility of the design approach with internal and external hardware, test equipment, or facilities

■ Establish the compatibility of physical and functional interfaces

■ Evaluate risk associated with production and manufacturing processes

Additionally, a PDRR may be utilized to solidify schedules, finalize work responsibilities, and ensure compatibility of the design approach between corporate divisions.
