Risk Register Updates

The risk register should be updated under two conditions. The first condition is when a risk audit or risk reassessment concludes that some element of the original risk information has changed—for example, the impact or probability scores are updated to reflect new conditions, the priority of the risk has changed, or the response plan has been updated. The second condition for updating the risk register is when the risk needs to be closed. If a risk event occurs, you'll record that in the risk register along with the effectiveness of the response plan. This information becomes an input to the Close Project Process, which I'll cover in the next chapter.
