Contractors often play important roles in project integration. Suppliers and vendors will be used more and more to participate and even lead integrated program teams. Internal managing techniques will need to be revised to keep pace with this new environment while suppliers become a part of the leadership team. Cost, schedule, and technical performance measures (TPM) will be increasingly linked electronically to the prime contractor's performance systems. The prime contractor will perform supplier site visits and the customers will see the entire schedule. This means that contractors will have full visibility to the project plan and schedule so that they can see the "big picture" and integrate activities related to their roles and tasks. As a result, data and information from suppliers will be framed in the whole project.
