The program management department includes all program managers and the program administrator/planner. The program management office (PMO) is responsible for assuring consistency in the application of this program management guide throughout the product development process. The PMO tracks performance of the overall program management process.
Within the department, program managers will consult regularly with each other on scheduling and resource plans and potential conflicts, and assure consistent approaches to scheduling details, WBS, budgeting, and sharing schedule information. On the initiation of new programs, program managers will consult with each other on potential resource impacts and issues.
