Modifying resource assignments

Your evaluation of earned value information may prompt you to make changes to resource assignments on your project. For example, you may need to do the following:

♦ Change resource allocations

♦ Schedule overtime

♦ Redefine a resource's calendar

♦ Assign part-time work

♦ Control when resources start working on a task

♦ Level workloads

♦ Contour resources

♦ Pool resources

Tip When you're working on an unusually large project, you may find it easier to break your project into smaller, more manageable portions called subprojects. In Project, ^ you can create subprojects and then consolidate them into the larger project to see the bigger picture (see Chapter 15).
