Final integration testing is very important to confirming the system's capability. This phase also provides assurance that the new system can be integrated with the other systems and business processes with which it has to work, with no adverse effects on them.
• A plan for doing all the required tests must be prepared, reviewed, and agreed upon jointly by the purchaser (with the participation of business users of the systems, IS staff, and purchasing specialists) and the supplier.
• The plan, as part of the contract, should specify (1) the individual who has the responsibility and authority for acceptance, (2) other participants, (3) acceptance criteria, and (4) testing procedures.
