Entering Cases via Discussion Group

FogBugz can also leverage discussion groups to create new cases in the system. This feature lets you tap the collective knowledge and ideas of all your users. When a registered user of FogBugz logs on and goes to a discussion group topic, they'll see New Case links for each message, as shown in Figure 2-3.

Service Monitor

Monitoring remote machines?

Is it possible to use Service Monitor to keep an eye on a service on another computer?

I'd like to see this too. I tried specifying //COMPUTER/Service in the "Add a service" screen, but it wouldn't take it.

Clicking the New Case link automatically creates a bug from the selected discussion group message. The title of the bug will be set to the title of the discussion group thread, and the contents of the message will be pasted into the bug description. The person porting the message to a case can make any other necessary changes (such as setting the project and area) and then click OK to create the case. Figure 2-4 shows a case created from one of the messages shown in Figure 2-3.
