Needs Goals and Objectives

This element is the same as that cited as the first element of a project plan, as described in Chapter 3. Therefore, all that should be done under this element is to confirm that the statements of needs, goals, and objectives are correct. Because these are provided by the system user or acquisition agent, the system developer should go back to these sources for the purpose of assuring that the needs, goals, and objectives are still current and appropriately stated. Examples of such statements are given in Chapter 3.
