Clear The Parking

At the end of the meeting, go back to the parking lot and see if there are any items on it that have not been resolved. If there are remaining items, you can do any of the following:

^ Discuss and resolve the issue or idea before closing the meeting.

^ Put the issue on the issues list, assigning accountability to get the issue resolved.

✓ Discard the issue if it's already been discussed or if the person who raised it is no longer concerned about it. It's common to have someone raise an issue early in a meeting and then have the issue discussed later, or to have an issue lose its significance because of other discussions. Always check with the person who raised the issue before discarding it.

✓ Put the issue on the agenda for the next project team meeting.
