The project team must have a communication plan that determines which items of information need to be communicated to all of the stakeholders of the project. It will be determined by who the stakeholders are and to what level they are involved. It will fulfill the stakeholders' need for information when they need it.
The communications management plan contains all of the information regarding the format of the reports, frequency of distribution, and the individual who has the responsibility for generating the reports and distributing them.
